Abstract

The article analyzes the implementation of public employment policies in the Labor Directorate of the Municipality of San Carlos de Bariloche. Articulating the ethnographic approach with the analysis of regulations, management documents and speeches, the article investigates the ways in which, through the processes of implementation of public employment policies that focus on strengthening the employability of people, new forms of alterity are produced. Particularly, the article analyzes those alterities and subjectivities implicitly derived from such processes, which give rise to what we call the production of unemployable subjects.
