Abstract

This article seeks to establish meaning connections between memory, acquisition of certain learning and belonging to physical and existential territories, through the life narrative of a worker from a rural black community located in the northern region of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Focused on a suffered narrative , this worker weaves the meanings of his lifelines, which are tangled in certain points, articulating work, marriage, religious festivals and ethnicity. The narrative in question evidences the native creativity to give consistency to the story of the past, connecting personal history and community history, through a vocabulary imbricated in the perception of life as movement and attention.
