Abstract

The migration and residence of the Raramuri population in the city of Chihuahua are linked, mainly, to the achievement of resources for subsistence within an ethnized labor market. In this context, the objective of this paper is to show that the insertion in different jobs and remunerative activities is leading the Raramuri to a process of resignification, changes and continuities, in the way to solve the material reproduction, constructing new meanings of what a manor a woman can do to obtain resources, as well as the responsibility acquired in the city.
