When the mistress is not at home, the pots are without handles. Sociodiscursive representations about unpaid domestic work and women (San Juan, Argentina)
Keywords:
Work, reproductive work, care, women, life stories, genderAbstract
This is an article that analyzes the socio-discursive representations of the San Juan women of retirement age, in relation to the various evaluations of the unpaid domestic and reproductive work of the housewife. Work was done on the life stories constructed from the speeches of three women who worked in the formal and informal labor market and in the private sphere of the home. The socio-discursive representations of the paid work performed by these women refer to negative aspects related to social conflicts. In this sense, an analysis of their discursive constructions around the tasks carried out and how their relationships and their environment mutated based on them was carried out.Downloads
