This contribution reclaims the daily life of long-lived peasant cattle breeders in the native pastures of the Campos de Cima da Serra region, with recognized scientific expertise in the craft of making mountain cheeses from raw milk in southern Brazil, in the context of ethnographic research. The respective participant observation consisted of an imagistic description of the specific task, among others, of making Serrano cheese, recording the taskscape in a specific landscape.Downloads
