Abstract

Let us propose the following problematization, namely: to analyze men as subjects of study, and their gender logic as an object. The previous motivation responds to the fact that in conventional studies of masculinities the starting point is usually the other way around: the masculinity that certain men experience is analyzed and in many occasions the reminiscence of this masculinity in the (structural) logic of gender is ignored. In this paper we invite the latter, analyzing men in specific contexts in which their gender practice (masculinity) is questioned and challenged and, in addition, has an impact on the structural logic of gender.
