Abstract

This article analyzes how in a masorti youth space of the Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, there was a circulation of speeches and practices with different logics. There was a confluence between magic and religion in the appropriation of the spirituality bearing in mind that the masorti movement historically has put aside the popular religiousness. For it, it was chosen a qualitative methodology with an interpretive approach. Through the description of different speeches and ritual experiences obtained by participant observation, it could be concluded that the dichotomist categories magic-religion of the classic sociology could not explain the new processes of the postmodern era.
