To take into account actives groups’ images and meanings in the Social and Solidarity Economy permits us to rethink other possible realities, where there is an intention to promote spaces of resistance to the exploitative relations of the hegemonic capitalist system, betting on collective and solidarity processes. The objective of the article was to analyze the meanings attributed to Social and Solidarity Economy groups led by women using Morgan's metaphors, by their members who participated in active virtual workshops, carried out from an organizational empowerment perspective. Seventeen women from 10 groups participated. The information collected in the sessions was analyzed following the template analysis approach. Emerging themes were identified in the collective discourse of the participants that could be related to the metaphors, where the following stand out: the values and cultural principles of the SSE, the representation of work and its organization as a source of personal and collective wellbeing and a resignification especially of the organicist and political metaphors, through which women have been able to understand their groups as resistance alternatives to the capitalist system from a reproductive rationality.Downloads
