Fragmented agricultures: resistance and occupational structure in Agua Santa Ana, Tepexi de Rodriguez, Puebla

From the analysis of the reconfiguration of the territories and the strategies of rural reproduction, the objective of this research was to understand the ruptures and continuities in identity processes and productive activities of members of the Domestic Rural Units (UDC) as consequence of the presence of extractive activities of marble. The used methodology is the study of case and with a qualitative approach of investigation resorting to the ethnography. As central results must reconfiguration of rural space in the community of Agua Santa Ana, it is related to the partial deagrarianisation the field; however, there is the preservation of traditional agriculture as a practice of social resistance associated with non-agricultural jobs.
