Abstract

In Latin America there is a revival of labor intermediation systems, apparently linked to their ability to enhance labor flexibility, reduce labor management costs and neutralize class conflicts. Based on reviews of literature in this regard, it is interesting to problematize three topics related to this boom: a) the operation of labor intermediation systems in the field of production and the outsourcing of services for agribusiness; b) its ability to dissipate disadvantages of job fragmentation; and c) the dissemination of business cultures and conflict deterrence. In the search for answers, we will try to identify limits and contradictions in the current behavior of labor intermediaries in rural areas, to rethink if there are possible counterweights.
