During the last decades, policies for territorial planning and watershed management have been implemented in Pampa del Indio, a locality in the province of Chaco, Argentina. These policies -from the linkage of government agencies and international funding agencies- are implemented in the territory with the explicit objective of increasing productivity and marketing of the agricultural and livestock sector. In this article we propose to describe a road project and a water project, both financed by the World Bank and implemented by the different levels of government in the above-mentioned locality. To do so, we will focus on the policies carried out in the territory, from a critical perspective that takes into account that both the planning and implementation of the projects in many cases tend to ignore the local issues and the rights of indigenous peoples.Downloads
