¿Qué sabemos de la pobreza rural? Panorama bibliométrico de la literatura existente

La pobreza sigue siendo un fenómeno que afecta a una parte importante de la población mundial, especialmente en las zonas rurales. Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar, a través de un estudio bibliométrico, la producción científica sobre el tema de la pobreza rural en la base de datos Web of Science. Se consideraron los artículos publicados en los últimos 10 años (2011 a 2021) y se analizaron utilizando el software VOSviewer. Los resultados muestran que los estudios sobre pobreza rural son numerosos y van en aumento, especialmente en relación con aspectos económicos, seguidos de los relacionados con el medio ambiente y la salud. El estudio identifica la relevancia de países desarrollados, como Estados Unidos, en la producción académica sobre el tema, aunque se destaca en los resultados la escasa participación de estudios latinoamericanos.
